I spent a couple of days at P de la L in March and, like you, fell in love with it. |t’s one of those rare places which combines temperate comforts with tropical exoticism. Just sitting on the verandah watching the birds hop around on the lawn was enough to keep me entertained. Unusually for me I don’t think I even opened one of the books I brought with me.
My guide, Nacho, spoke very good English, so I think non-Spanish speakers should simply warn Elsa in advance.

Hey Matt! Good to hear from you — glad you enjoyed your stay there as well. Thank you for sharing your information about Nacho for people reading this in the future. When we were at the Lodge, there weren’t any guides that spoke English. For us, it worked out because I could translate for my husband, but otherwise, it would have been a little bit tough. And yes, it was a very contemplative place…I loved sitting outside on the patio as well, at least when the girls weren’t flipping around in their hammocks!
